KATHMANDU, FEB 27 - Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)’s brand new aircraft 'Sagarmatha' started its commercial flights to New Delhi , India, from Friday. The aircraft (Airbus A320) took for New Delhi at 8:30 am from the Tribhuvan International Airport carrying 101 passengers and returned at 1 pm with 44 passengers. According to NAC spokesperson Ramhari Sharma, now the NAC has five foreign destinations including the Indian Capital New Delhi as its international flight service. NAC’s two Boeings with 190 seats capacity have been flying to Doha, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Bangkok. Delhi is NAC’s fifth destination. According to the NAC, the aircraft from now would operate flights on four days a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The NAC had brought the 158 seats capacity Airbus 'A 320-200' on February 8. The NAC has fixed Rs 7,100 as a one-way fare to New Delhi for Nepalis and Rs 8,000 for foreign nationals. The first flight of Sagarmatha on Wednesday was cancelled as the new aircraft failed to secure permit for flying in the Indian sky.
